Last year the passing Harvest Moon
Changed your status from have to had;
I knew this special day in June
Might engender your feeling sad.
Extend your reach as I once did,
Lessons learned need ushering forth;
Exemplify a life well lived
That he may grow a heart of warmth.
The tears I see bring peace and joy
As you lovingly hug your son;
The love you show this little boy
Gives comfort we are truly one.
With love,
Dad

FATHER TO SON – SYNOPIS
It has been over a year since Ken passed away April 29 2022, but only one Harvest Moon has passed since then. Spiritually, the Harvest Moon allows us to take stock, to reflect on life, and make plans moving forward. It ends a six month cycle, which in my case, included a life changing event not only for me, but my entire family.
The next six month cycle encompasses the rebirth of spring. The message in the poem is from Ken. It is an acknowledgement that Ken, our son Tyler, and our grandson Theo, embody one human spirit with Ken being the eternal flame.
