Dark clouds loom overhead
As nature’s overture begins
Winds whisper through the trees
A summons for its violins
First a rustle, then a swirl
The leaves reply
To the orchestral sway
As creatures hide nearby
The sky ablaze
With jagged light
Rain gives presence
First gentle, then with might
And with crescendo force
The mood intense
Fear, anger, the unknown
The message so immense
Then fury fades
With measured beat
As blue sky signals
The symphony now complete
Behind the closing curtain
Peeks the welcomed rainbow
With tidings of life’s renewal
Truly nature’s Michelangelo
NATURE’S DISCORD - SYNOPSIS
Nothing is more soothing than sitting on my mountain porch and imagining
that I am the conductor of an evolving storm that I witness coming over the
mountains. It is the sounds of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons and the visual of Michelangelo’s
Sistine Chapel played out by nature that resonate in my mind.
