Swiss Neutral

From Mount Etna to Sabyinyo’s green cover

I heed the echoing of the alphenhorn;

Walking uneven stone ledges with some reservation

I feel a closeness to your now spirit world

Bellows in clouds drift small puffs of cool breeze

Whisper softly in passing ,caressing my cheek,

Enticing my heart’s smoldering embers to reignite

The mindfulness travel once afforded us

Wild flowers self seeded carpet the base

Sway gently in rainbow diversity

Harmonizing with waterfall strings

Puppeteered through time by Thor, Zeus, Abraham’s God

Faint raindrops now drizzling from your resting place

Give reason to smile for this neutral space

Where science and faith intersect in the realm beyond;

Blissfully I begin my descent with resolve:

“Free the mind to give credence to both

Reunite again as was our oath”

 SWISS NEUTRAL - SYNOPSIS

I would have never imagined that Switzerland would be the place that would answer my question as to whether the love of travel was still there, now, as a solo traveler. It made me realize that, for me, travel was more than just enjoying the geography.

As I stood on the mountainside between ”heaven and earth”, it became clear to me that this dramatic landscape provided neutral thinking space free of man’s cultural influences to ponder ages past and the concept of life’s continuation beyond. It solidified my thoughts that science and faith are indeed bonded. I mused over the fact that as natural phenomena like thunder and lightening became explainable by science, deities like Thor were relegated to mythology and faith appointed a new spiritual leader. It made me think that if man keeps an open mind and allows the concept of science and faith as credible collaborators, we may one day have answers to our deep questions in life.
